The Design Edit is the latest boutique furniture and homewares store to join the interiors space in Australia. Melbourne based and family owned, The Design Edit was conceived by husband and wife team Jason and Danni Tan. After having studied and worked in the accounting and finance industry, they left the corporate world behind and embarked on a building project as owner-builders. Through the process of being immensely involved in every detail of the design and decoration of their home, they developed their love for furniture and homewares, inspired by the power of well selected pieces to transform any space.

Their carefully curated collection includes functional and timeless Scandinavian inspired wooden furniture, iconic replica designer pieces, and stylish homewares. “When curating products for The Design Edit, we only consider items that we’d personally put in our own home,” says co-founder Danni. “When you purchase one of our pieces, you are making that item a part of your life and inviting it into your home – that’s a big deal and it’s a privilege we take seriously!”

All furniture pieces are of exceptional quality and made from premium materials, such as top grain Italian leather, soft cashmere and solid wood. Likewise, the complementing homewares range only features beautifully designed, timeless pieces from leading, well-loved brands such as Amalfi, Zakkia and LindDNA.

Showcasing the unique works of talented Australian artisans, The Design Edit supports local designers by giving them a platform to display their beautiful creations.
