In the depths of the 100+ day lockdown in Melbourne late last year, entrepreneur and creative Michelle Kerr had an idea to create a range of Craft Giftboxes. Stuck inside with many of the retail stores closed, she was craving some crafty self-care time and thought to herself ‘I wish I could just get everything I need delivered to me in a box!’ And voila, her craft box business Champagne Creative was born.
Since then, her business has exploded with hundreds of craft boxes making their way around Australia. People have purchased boxes as gifts for friends/family, as something to do with their children, for those doing it tough during lockdown, and of course for themselves!
Michelle has received wonderful feedback from her customers, stating that her craft boxes have provided a spark of creative joy during what has been a challenging 18 months. As well as making for a great couples date night from home, supporting people with depressive symptoms, and providing an engaging activity for people with a disability.
Due to the ongoing lockdowns happening across the country, Michelle’s business has continued to gain popularity – especially with corporate groups. Michelle has provided her craft boxes to corporate clients and staff working from home, including well known national brands, providing a unique gift that can be run as a virtual craft class or craft competition for staff.
All of the craft giftboxes come with access to a video tutorial, and mini prosecco or pink lemonade to sip on as you create. You’ll find modern Pinterest-worthy options that will be the envy of your friends…such as macrame, tie dye, pottery, acrylic art and more.
If you’re currently stuck in lockdown or just looking to learn something new and fun from home, then you might want to jump on board the creative train and try your hands at one of these creative projects.
