Olympus’ latest addition to the Vanta™ series of handheld XRF analysers is optimized to help ensure compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) and local or international regulatory laws.
Like every Vanta analyser, this new model combines fast, accurate results with a durable design for maximum uptime and a lower cost of ownership.
Vanta analysers provide on-the-spot chemical analysis to quickly scan for toxic metals like lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), chromium (Cr) and bromine (Br) in consumer products such as toys, apparel, footwear and electronics to comply with RoHS regulations.
Excellent sensitivity and repeatability enable Vanta analysers to achieve low detection limits for reliable pass/fail results of regulated elements.
Vanta XRF analysers are accepted as a screening tool when testing for compliance with the following global hazardous substance regulations and testing methods as part of a reasonable testing program:
• EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU)
• China RoHS Directive (RPCEP)
• Japan RoHS
• Korean RoHS Directive
• USA CPSIA (HR4040)
• USA Halogen Free Directive
• California Preposition 65
• USA CPSC-CH-E1002-08 SOP
Vanta analysers are IP65 rated for protection against dust and water and drop tested to military standards (MIL-STD-810 G) for greater uptime.
Vanta analysers also incorporate Olympus’ revolutionary new Axon™ technology, a breakthrough in XRF signal processing that utilises ultra-low-noise electronics to deliver higher X-ray count rates per second and test-to-test repeatability.
The analyser’s lower limits of detection accommodate future compliance as regulations change over time.
Other features include:
• Intuitive interface and responsive touch screen
• Optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® connectivity for fast data downloads
• Customizable home screen
Olympus’ newest Vanta analyser combines durability, power and ease of use for testing consumer goods.
