Manly Spirits Co.
Posted on May 4, 2017 by

Manly Spirits Co., Sydney’s Northern Beaches’ first artisan distillery, has launched its debut range of premium Australian spirits, after recent medal wins at the 17th San Francisco World Spirits Competition and 2017 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards.

Driven by a desire to create quality spirits that showcase the finest Australian produce including superior malts, and sustainably sourced native and foraged marine botanicals, the Manly Spirits Co. team have combined science, innovation, and a large dose of the ‘Australian Way’ to expertly craft the launch expressions – Manly Spirits Australian Dry Gin, Manly Spirits Marine Botanical Vodka, Manly Spirits Terra Firma Botanical Vodka, and North Fort White Dog Malt Spirit.

Launching Australia wide, the Manly Spirits Co. range, packaged in custom designed gradient bottles with raised foil label features, are celebrating a clean-sweep of recent medal wins for the new expressions that were entered at the 17th San Francisco World Spirits Competition and 2017 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards.

Manly Spirits Co Distillery are also opening its doors for the first time to visitors for distillery tours and tasting experiences.

David Whittaker, Manly Spirits Co. Founder and Director, comments: “We are thrilled to have received awards at two of the world’s prestigious spirits award competitions for our launch expressions. With a high proportion of spirits consumed in Australia imported from other countries, we believe there is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Australian craft spirits and are proud to be part of this movement.”

Manly Spirits Co., who distil, bottle, and label by hand at their urban distillery, are also laying down casks of their cornerstone single malt whisky range, North Fort, and limited release Australian whiskies.

Matured and finished in a range of traditional ex-Bourbon, ex-fortified wine French oak, and ex-Australian wine casks, a variety of whisky expressions will be available from 2019.

Head Distiller, Tim Stones, formally of Beefeater Gin and Chivas Brothers Limited, adds: “The Manly Spirits Co. team are continually exploring the Australian botanical pantry and are drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings of Manly’s famed marine sanctuary. Our signature whiskies, gins, and botanical vodkas will be complimented by a rotating seasonal small-batch collection, The Distillery Expressions, that will be available exclusively at the Distillery Tasting Bar for industry and visitors to try.”

Located only 15 minutes from Manly ferry wharf, the Manly Spirits Co. Distillery welcomes visitors for walk-in tastings and pre-booked behind-the-scene tours from Wednesday to Sunday each week, and offers guests the opportunity to explore, discover, and taste the amazing world of Australian spirits.

Manly Spirits Co.’s range of premium craft Australian spirits will be launching nationwide from May 2017.

RRP: Manly Spirits Botanical Vodkas – $75; Manly Spirits Australian Dry Gin – $80; North Fort White Dog Malt Spirit – $85.
