Home security and apartment living will be revolutionised for residents of West End, Trenerry Property’s best-in-class urban lifestyle precinct, with the creation of Australia’s first fully remote controlled app-based entry and concierge system, WE-Life.
A product of West End’s unique philosophy to approach apartment life differently, residents will be able to grant others secure access to their apartment remotely, schedule the collection of dry cleaning, make restaurant reservations, have their dog walked, and more – all at the touch of a button – from anywhere in the world.
Developed by vertical life specialists, VLife, WE-Life will operate as an advanced tablet based video intercom system and smart phone app that merges intercom, access control, CCTV, and building communications into one cloud based software system.
Home management will be made easy, with residents able to grant temporary access to, and communicate with tradespeople remotely via the video intercom.
Apartment operating manuals and white goods warranties will be conveniently stored on the app, and it will also include energy consumption and carbon footprint tracking functionality, promoting greener, more efficient lifestyles.
Trenerry Property director Robert DiCintio said: “The vision for West End is to offer the best possible lifestyle for residents and WE-Life will help us do just that.
“Not only will it significantly streamline life’s administrative tasks via remote apartment management, it will also allow for resort-style living that gives residents access to their very own 24/7 concierge service. It will transform apartment living as we know it.”
Residents will also have added security comfort via WE-Life’s surveillance feature, which will enable authorised persons to remotely access the buildings’ CCTV cameras located on their premises.
VLife Founder Daniel Filmer said: “The other pain points of residents living a vertical life are access control and communication. WE-Life addresses these issues head on with an intuitive interface, which will have residents wondering how they ever lived without it,” said Mr Filmer.
WE-Life is one of the many features available to West End residents that all contribute to its unique approach to apartment living.
The technology has been under development since 2012, with Trenerry Property’s project the first development in Australia to secure the innovative service.
Construction of West End is expected to start in July 2017, with completion anticipated at the end of 2019.
