High quality, handmade Italian bathroom sculpture meets practicality with the new luxury wash basin range by Pittella. Named Ceramica, it encompasses three artfully crafted benchtop designs, all baring their own unique personality. They are called San Guiliano, Martino and Lorenzo.
Inspired by the increasing demand for unique artisan pieces for his client’s interior projects, Simone Pittella (Director) ventured to the town that that is world renown for this type of small scale production. The Ceramica wash basin range is crafted in the town of Vinci, the namesake of whom needs no introduction. Since the 16th century, this authentic Tuscan town situated on the outskirts of Florence has been recognised for beautiful handmade crystal, porcelain and ceramic pieces that grace the interiors of luxury homes throughout the world.
The Ceramica basins are manufactured in ceramic – a very durable, hard and non-porous material resistant to heat and scratching. The distinctive designs begin from a mould that guides the general shape, and then turned by hand on a ceramic spinning wheel to further refine the sculpture.
As part of the movement toward the handmade trend, these three new additions have been specifically curated to bring to market, unique and beautiful wash basins that are functional and hard wearing. Pittella describes the wash basin selection as “timeless and very amenable – they will extend across a variety of applications and interior styles for luxury bathroom projects”
