Dog outfitters Sebastian says to launch 2018 collection
Posted on April 6, 2018 by

After a successful debut collection in 2017, Melbourne dog outfitters label Sebastian Says launches a new bohemian range of uniquely crafted macramé leads, merino wool sweaters and collars in rich on-trend colours and high-quality materials for pampered pooches.

Designed in Elwood Australia, the aptly named ‘A New Bohemian’ collection has been inspired by natural textures and earthy beach surroundings, with a focus on both functionality and aesthetic. Available to purchase, the latest range from Sebastian Says promises fashion forward dog lovers more of the brand’s signature style of dog accessories that complement the lifestyle and décor of the urban dog lover.

The label’s highly sought-after macramé leads will now be available in a teal, indigo, toffee and red, that are handcrafted by artisans using 100% cotton. The uniquely designed square and twist knot detailing offer an elevated design feature and at the same time reinforce the strength of the lead, ensuring they will stand the test of time.

Vegetable-tanned leather collars with solid brass hardware continue to feature in the collection, they have been designed to age beautifully, and highlight the natural characteristics of the hide resulting in a distressed look. Custom monograming on Sebastian Says leather collars is available exclusively online, and customers can interactively personalise their dog’s names onto their collars.

Adding to its ever-growing apparel range, a new fringed merino wool sweater in a rich toffee colour provides the perfect bohemian styled, winter fashion option. Merino wool is used in all Sebastian Says sweaters, proving to be the perfect pooch-friendly material; being soft to touch, breathable and machine washable.

In addition to the launch of its latest collection, Sebastian Says now offers a vegan friendly, leather alternative – A capsule collection of collars and coats, made from Piñatex™. Piñatex™ is an environmentally friendly, sustainable bi-product created with fibres extracted from pineapple leaves. Sebastian Says is the world’s first label to use it for pet accessories and finishes each Piñatex™ product with its signature, solid brass charm.

Sebastian Says Founder, Suz Strampic, was inspired by the love of her puppy, Sebastian, and the role he plays in her life to design the ‘A New Bohemian’ collection, explaining, “The new collection offers deep and tonal colours of rich red, teal and navy, that can easily be matched to neutral toffee tones and pastels. We also have an exciting new leather alternative made by Piñatex, available in Gold and Natural, that brings a relaxed style combination or earthen luxe.” She continues, “My partner and I enjoy a little road trip to the outskirts of Melbourne. The natural earthy beach surroundings of Australia is what inspires me, Sebastian plays a big part in our life. And so, this collection represents us.”
