Lean Bookcase
Posted on September 12, 2017 by

With the warmer weather finally here, it’s time to clear clutter and hit refresh on your home interior to create a revitalising new look for the season ahead.

“Spring is the time to clear out the old and bring in the new. For many of us, it’s time to clean out the cobwebs and give your home a good spring clean. It’s also the perfect time to invest in some new furniture for a fresh new look,” says Craig Evans, national visual merchandising manager, Fantastic Furniture.

These days, says Craig, many people are choosing to adopt different design styles for their home to create a different vibe according to the season.

“Gone are the days of holding onto the same couch and dining setting for years. These days, furniture, like fashion, moves with the times and you don’t need to spend a fortune to create a seasonal re-style,” says Craig.

Before you hit the shops, the first thing you need to do, he says, is clear clutter.

“During the winter months, books, magazines, toys and DVDs can accumulate from time spent cosying up indoors. Clear out the mess before you start to create space for your new look.”

Spring is the perfect time to invest in new storage units. Fantastic Furniture’s Lean Bookcase is a great choice. It comes in three modular units, a 5-shelf bookcase ($99), a bookcase with a built-in desk ($89) and a corner bookcase ($79). Featuring an on-trend ladder design, mix and match to suit your storage needs and available space.

Add a fresh coastal feel with Fantastic Furniture’s Hayman Large Bookcase. With a crisp white timber finish and slatted sides, it will give a light and airy look to any room. Price $199.

If you need a workstation for homework or paying bills but are short on space, then a corner desk is a smart choice. With built-in shelves and a cupboard, the Aster corner desk has plenty of room to store books and files and place a laptop or PC on top. Price $119.

If pots and pans are piling up on work surfaces in the kitchen or dining room, then hide them away in a stylish buffet. Fantastic Furniture’s Studio 2-door Buffet features two generously sized cupboards with adjustable shelves and two spacious open shelves, giving plenty of room to store and display dinnerware. The combination timber look panels and a black metal frame give a modern industrial look. Price $299.

If your existing sofa has seen better days, then wave it goodbye and invest in a new one. In a choice of smart grey polyurethane or contemporary denim, Fantastic Furniture’s Finlay Sofa will update the look of your lounge-room. Available as a 2-seater ($599), or 3-seater ($749).

Spring is a great time to opt for a new colour scheme. In the dining room, create a light and lovely look with the Harper 7-piece extendable dining setting in crisp white. ($719). With an eye-catching Scandi design style, the table extends right out from a 4-seater to a 6-seater making it a great option for home entertainers who are short on space. Four pretty Pop chairs with tapered timber legs complement this stylish setting.

“Whichever style you choose for your home this spring, make sure you top it off with some pretty accessories to complete your look,” advised Craig.

Add a touch of flora and fauna to welcome in the season with Fantastic Furniture’s new Daintree Cushion range. Inspired by nature, choose from four stylish designs, Ikat, Leaf, Palms or Triangles to bring the outside in. Price $20 each.
